How can I learn about the apprenticeship programme?
An apprenticeship is a real job that provides you with government-funded training, industry-recognised qualifications and a salary from day one. It’s a great way to launch a new career and stay debt free in the process. At Makers, we offer Level 4 Apprenticeships in Software Engineering, Data Analytics (with Engineering), Cloud (DevOps) Engineering and Quality (Test) Engineering.
An apprenticeship typically lasts between 18–22 months with the majority of apprentices having a permanent role waiting for them at the same company at the end of the programme.
At the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll have an assessment to check you can confidently perform your role. If you pass, you’ll be awarded an industry recognised qualification.
Despite the perception that apprenticeships are for school leavers, there's no upper age limit. Apprenticeships are relevant to anyone wishing to embark on a career in tech especially career switchers.

Makers Academy Bootcamp Programs:
Makers bootcamp programs offer an intense and focused learning experience designed to propel individuals into the tech industry. The bootcamp is 16 weeks, providing an accelerated journey into the world of technology. Students engage in a hands-on curriculum, delving into coding languages, frameworks, and industry practices.
Apprenticeship Programs:
Apprenticeship programs offer an intensive 4-month learning phase, akin to bootcamps, followed by approximately 18 months on placement within a tech team. During this period, apprentices work within their teams while also completing the necessary coursework for the qualification.
Apprentices gaining valuable workplace experience and contribute meaningfully to projects. Unlike bootcamp graduates who have flexibility in choosing their workplace, apprentices are employed at a company from the start of the 'bootcamp' phase and throughout the placement phase.
