Apprenticeships
If you apply to become an apprentice the information you supply will be shared with the
Education and Skills funding agency, an executive agency for the Department for Education (DfE).
The purposes of this are to issue you with a Unique Learner Number (ULN) and create you a personal learning record. When this information is shared, they become Data Controllers of that information. We’ll never make your information available to anyone outside Makers for them to use for their own marketing purposes, without your prior consent.
7. THIRD PARTY LINKS
Our website can include links to third party websites in which we have no control or
responsibility. We encourage you to read the privacy information available on every site you visit to understand the information they collect and process.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
We are a technology business and in operating our website and supplying you with our
services, it may become necessary to transfer information that we collect from you to locations outside of the UK and Europe (EU).
We ensure that whenever your information processed by us or by our suppliers and partners operating outside the UK and EU then this is done with appropriate legal safeguards and is protected against unauthorised access, loss or destruction, unlawful processing and any processing which is inconsistent with the purposes set out in this Notice.

9. LOOKING AFTER YOUR INFORMATION
We have put in place appropriate security measures to protect your information from being accidentally lost, altered, disclosed or accessed in an unauthorised way. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We continue to maintain Cyber Essentials Plus certification, and we are now working towards ISO 27001:2022 certification. Please contact us if you would like to know more information about our security controls.
10. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected. When assessing what retention period is appropriate for your personal data, we take into consideration:

11. YOUR INFORMATION RIGHTS
If you'd like to see the personal information that we hold about you, you can request a copy any time. If you find that this information is incorrect you can ask for it to be updated. Or, if you believe the information is being processed unlawfully, you can ask us to stop or request that it's deleted from our systems.

We won't ever charge you for a copy of your personal data but we may ask you for proof of your identity before we disclose any information. Once we've seen this, we'll send you a copy of the personal data we hold within one month.
12. NOT HAPPY?
Please let us know if you are unhappy with how we have used your personal data by contacting the Data Protection Officer.
