Our Benefits

At Makers, we want our team to take the time off they need to recharge, have a good balance in their lives, and do their best work. Therefore, we have a minimum holiday policy rather than a maximum, and encourage you to take at least 25 days of holiday per calendar year. Plus the UK bank holidays. 

Each year Makers closes for a week in June / July and for two weeks at the end of December into early January across Christmas and New Years. The whole company takes a break, so you’ll have peace of mind in knowing that nobody is working, not just you. This break is fully paid for employees, and is on top of your unlimited holiday allowance.

We embrace holistic health at Makers where mental health matters and is just as important as physical health. We trust the team to do the right thing for their health and for Makers.

Hence, we offer unlimited fully paid wellness and sickness leave from day one which offers financial security and peace of mind when you are unable to work due to sickness, accident, injury or mental health struggles.

To support you in taking care of your mental and physical health, and to give you security for those times when you and your health need it most, Makers offers access to Private Healthcare Insurance as part of your benefits package.  
 
Taking care of yourself is an important aspect of wellbeing and professional development -which we take very seriously at Makers. That’s why we run daily meditation sessions at 9:00am with our wonderful Chief Joy Officer, for both staff and students
 
We offer enhanced maternity, paternity & secondary caregiver, and adoption pay & leave to our staff from day one. We are committed to ensuring you are supported throughout your leave but also in your return to work with us.
