We are delighted to announce that Makers is now B Corporation (BCorp) certified.
Makers have joined a growing community of companies reinventing the business landscape by pursuing purpose and upholding high social and environmental standards.
The BCorp certification addresses the entirety of a business’s operations and covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. Having showcased practices relating to energy supplies, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency, Makers commitment to the planet and community is highlighted in our BCorp certification score of 104.0.
Achieving BCorp status was important because it aligns with our purpose to transform lives and organisations by bridging tech industry needs and under-discovered talent whilst being part of the worldwide community of businesses leading the global ecosystem.
The BCorp began with three friends who shared a vision to make businesses a force for good. Since then it has become a movement that transforms the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. Makers is now part of a community of 7,000 businesses globally that are certified as B Corps. The UK BCorp community represents a broad cross-section of industries and sizes, including well-known brands such as The Guardian, Patagonia and The Body Shop.
